The Standard Earthsong flute is available in any key and wood available at the time, except Tasmanian Myrtle.

Standard flute mouth-pieces can be made with the blunted end style or the puckered style.

Please request which style upon ordering.

Drone/double barrel flute. The drone flute  is a double bored flute which means it has two barrels and two mouth pieces, more simply 'two flutes in one'. Yes, you can play both sides together! One side plays the fundamental note and the right side plays a straight pentatonic minor scale. The right side of the flute can be played separately. For example; if you had a drone flute in the key of E minor, the left side plays the straight key of  E . The right side plays the five notes in the key of E. Played together this creates a droning effect which is very haunting and very harmonious.

The concert series flute is crafted from Tasmanian Myrtle wood, native to Australia.

Amongst one of the nicest woods to work with, it has a tight grain and is of a medium to soft wood, which is perfect for flutes.

The resonance and tone of these flutes is warm and rich with clear  voicing.

Transverse flutes are side blown flutes. The Transverse flute is tuned to the major scale and can play three octaves.

To create a sound out of the flute one has to position the mouth and lips so that an even and steady flow of breath is hitting the edge of the blow hole. It might take a bit of practice and patience, but when you get the hang of it, it will be very rewarding.
